Master school program

In 1961 Peter first came to golf as a caddy at Royal Melbourne Golf Club, Australia, and after a successful amateur career in Junior Golf and winning both the Queensland Junior Championship and Victorian Assistant Professional Championships he concentrated on developing his game to become a PGA Tour Player and then progressed into the Golf Teaching area of the game - organizing Leading World Golf Teachers to tour Australia and in the process formed The Australian International Golf Schools. Such names as Paul Runyan, Gary Wiren, Tom Tomassello, Norman Von Nida, Randy Henry of Henry Griffitts were involved in doing "Teaching Tours and Seminars/ Clinics with Peter before the major breakthrough of "PUSH GOLF" was discovered in April, 1992.

Peter played on the Australian PGA Tour from 1971 to 1983 and was runner-up in a playoff for the 1976 Australian PGA Championship. He won more than 30 professional tournaments around the world before turning his attention to teaching in the late 70's. In 1982, he founded the Australian International Golf Schools.

In the early 1990's, following thousands of hours of study and testing, Peter, and a team of associates discovered the true source of power control and consistency that form the foundation of the teaching program called Croker Golf. This program has since found its way into the American mainstream of golf instructional techniques.
Peter sets the highest standard of teaching along with a very high level of competence in his own game. He has built an international reputation for his ability to work with players of every level.
He has introduced the Croker Golf technology to such professionally noted players as Peter Thomson, Arnold Palmer, Vijay Singh, Olin Browne, Fred Funk, Tim Herron, Mark Brooks, Brian Henninger, Terry Price, Paul Moloney, Sandy Lyle, Wayne Grady, Craig Parry, Curtis Strange, Peter Senior, Jim Ferree, Bruce Devlin, David Graham, Bob Charles, Jane Blaylock, Loren Roberts, Grant Waite, Harold Henning and Rocco Mediate.

In addition to founding and directing the CROKER GOLF SYSTEM - Path To Better Golf Program, Peter is the former Director of Education from Henry-Griffitts, Australia, and currently has his home bases in Australia at The Shearwater Cape Schanck Resort and Golf Park Golf Improvement Centre, Melbourne, Victoria and Europe at Golf & Vitalpark Resort, Bad Waldsee, Germany.

Peter Croker has authored 4 Books on Golf:

  1. Peter Croker's Path to Better Golf published in 2002 by Harper Collins.
  2. "The Hit" published in Australia and the founding book in the "Push" concept to golf.
  3. Peter Croker's Module One Book and Video Program.
  4. Spalding's - The Fundamentals of Golf.

Also there are 16 Video Lessons produced by Peter Croker to communicate the principles and basics of The Croker Golf System.

One of the few Videos on the short game by Paul Runyan was produced in Australia in 1983 in association with Peter Croker and is a classic in the Short Game area.
The next goal to be realized by Peter Croker is to form a high quality number of Golf Academies worldwide, able to deliver a Standard Instruction Program using The Croker Golf System. This is under way in German speaking Europe as of 2002 and will flow out from there as the Program is consolidated.

To all who want to be on a Path to Better Golf:
- Over the past few years Croker Golf System has uncovered what is the true source of an orthodox golf swing.

1. The Hands Are the Source of Motion
This is NEW news in today's world of golf. In the last 20 years plus, the golf instruction "guru's" have been trying to take the hands out of the golf swing.

2. Push not Pull
The Hands are pushing on the club ever inch of the swing. The horse is really pushing on the harness, not pulling the cart. The illusion of "Pull" has been truly exposed by us.

3. Golf as a "Two Target Game"
With the address routine being responsible for the ball's target alignment and "educated hands"causing the clubhead to strike its target -- the ball itself. As we say "A to B" gives you "B to T."

4. The "No conscious Weight Shift" concept
Ben Hogan can be seen from the rear view almost turning into his left foot in the back swing. The reality is that there is weight shift, but the golfer should never consciously shift the weight to the back foot in the back swing or the front foot in the downswing. Weight shift is the effect of the swinging club and no more.

5. The Wheel, the Axle, the "Rotor Motor," and the Key Concept
This runs contrary to the mainstream belief of the restricted hip turn to start the back swing theory of the majority of high profile instructors out there. By using the hands to trigger the hip turn to rotate the spine and shoulders to swing the arms, hands, and club into the back swing, there is much more coiling of all the parts and much less stress on the back.

6. Controlling the Nerves - Creating more time to hit the ball
Golfers are all different, but one common reality is that if they could have more time available especially in the back swing and at impact, then they would reduce anxiety and have more control over the ball and consistency could come into view. The more "present time" the better chance of control and consistency. This breakthrough is most significant coming when it did, as we have the tools to maximize the benefit of this knowledge now.
