1. Persistence is a key!
When we think of persistence, the names Ben Hogan and Vijay Singh top the list. Both of these champions have made a lasting impression on me.
While I was in Singapore I met with the Editor of Golf Magazine and came across this article on Vijay. It truly shows how much persistence plays a part in the journey to the top. Whether you are a fan of Vijay or not, I think you will find his story a good read.
It is the same for teachers and those I worked with on this trip have persisted with our teaching program for 10 years plus.
Wedgy Winchester, Mark Wanser, Charlie Poole, Fred Ost, Theirry Rombaldi, Chris Beckett, Andy Riss, Steve Cottingham, and Achim Steinfurth are all doing great work with their students and to see their enthusiasm to teaching gives me great satisfaction. I am impressed with their abilities to keep their teaching so simple and to give their students the right correction. This has become more evident in their teaching the longer they have stayed true to the "Push" theory.

2. Curing the Yips!
While I was playing a few Senior PGA Tournaments in Queensland in August, I met quite a few on the Tour who had or were close to the "yips" with their putting and/or chipping and pitching.
At the conclusion of the Queensland Senior PGA Championship I shared the answers on how to cure such a problem with a few of the players having trouble on the greens. These answers do not mean that you will hole every short or long putt that you set up to, but you certainly can become much less anxious because you can cause a solid impact on a putt without "impact breakdown." 3. Junior Golf School in School Holidays.
A 5 Day Junior Golf School from September 26 to 30 is scheduled at the Dunes Golf Links, Browns Road, Rye. Croker Academy of Golf is offering a one off special price of $50 for the first 20 junior golfers under the age of 18 to register. Sponsored by The Dunes and Croker Academy of Golf to promote Junior Golf on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

4. Golf Clinics
As of Sunday September 11 from 2pm to 4pm a 5 x 2 hour Group Clinic will be held. The Group size will be limited to a maximum of 12 students. Group Lessons will also be run on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
